I've scrapped for more than 15 years, and taught scrapbooking for almost 5 years, but last week I finished my first custom for-hire scrapbook! It was a graduation book for a woman whose daughter graduated from Gretna High School on Sunday.
It happened strangely. She had never scrapbooked before and came into Precious Treasures, with iced coffee in hand, to ask the store owner, Amy, to help her. Amy wasn't there, but I had just finished a private daytime class and just happened to be there. After a few moments of talking, I realized that she probably just needed someone to do it for her. I've always wanted to do some for-hire projects, so I volunteered.
It was very fun and I'd do it again in a heartbeat, especically to see the look on the mom's face again when she looked at my work.
