If you know me at all, you will know that I am a big fan of the Cricut cartridges, Paper Doll Dress Up and Everyday Paper Dolls. I was a big fan from the very beginning because I had a chance to actually look at the handbook, and discover the amazing accessories buried on the cartridge. Meanwhile, many people only looked at the back of the box and wondered what they would ever use it for.
Here is one very cool example of using the Paper Dolls cartridges for things other than scrapbooking. The principal at our small Catholic school asked me to decorate a box for use at a fundraiser. I already had most of the dolls cut out, so I just needed to finish them up.

I love using vinyl with my Cricut machine! It is so versatile. I can decorate just about anything with it. Well, now I am branching out to designing and cutting custom vinyl pieces for other people.
This was a custom Welcome piece that I made for a lady named Renae, who I met at the Scrapateers crop back in October. She had bought vinyl and the 12x24 mat, but she didn't have a Gypsy (at the time, she does now) so she couldn't weld the letters together and make it one piece. It came out great! I think it took me less than an hour and I only charged her $7 for the vinyl and the labor.

I can do this, and much more, for you, too! Just email me at and tell me what you are interested in having made.
Right now, I am starting to design some holiday vinyl pieces just for walls, doors, windows, etc!

Lately I've noticed that I teach most of my Cricut classes at locations around the Omaha area, but I don't have a location in Omaha itself. I've had several students tell me they'd like me to teach somewhere in central Omaha for convenience reasons.
So, I am going to try doing one in my home and see how it goes. On Friday, Nov. 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., please join me at my house in south Omaha for an In-Depth Gypsy Class. This class will cover everything from the basics to more advanced techniques. The cost is $20. Please email me to register. I can take up to 6 people. I will provide snacks and you are welcome to bring beverages.
I have started working at the Michaels craft store in Bellevue again and they have agreed to let me teach Cricut and Gypsy classes there as well. The first Intro to Gypsy class will be Sat., Nov. 27 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is just $5. This will cover the basics for a new Gypsy owner, including loading cartridges, designing images and cutting.
For now, email me to register.
